On 10 July 2023, Boehringer Ingelheim, the manufacturer of Semintra 10mg/mL Oral Solution for Cats initiated a voluntary recall of certain batches (batch number E07522 an E30545) of that product.
The voluntary recall was initiated due to an out-of-specification result during the shelf-life period.
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicine Authority advises that there is a low hazard associated with this recall and there is no anticipated impact on product safety or efficacy and all product in circulation is suitable for use.
If you have purchased Semintra with either of the above batch numbers or if you have any concerns at all, you should contact the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Customer Service team on 1800 808 691 and select option 3.
